Dr. Greg Gemoules received his O.D. degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1983.  Prior to that, he was a corporate engineer for Baxter/Travenol Laboratories (now Baxter).  In 1999 he began consulting for a popular website devoted to refractive surgery complications, Surgicaleyes.  Dr. Gemoules soon became the “Dear Abby” of refractive surgery complications and problems. Since that time, he has assisted thousands of patients with his online consultations and knowledge on Surgicaleyes and Lasermyeye.  Based on his work with this unique group of patients, Dr. Gemoules developed an expertise in designing and fitting custom contact lenses for the relief of higher order aberrations. Word-of-mouth soon spread about post-surgical patients who were successfully treated by a doctor from Coppell, Texas. Soon a procession of patients who had all but given up hope visited Dr. Gemoules. His patients have traveled from across the United States, Canada, South America, and Europe.

His successful treatment of patients suffering from keratorefractive surgical complications, including LASIK, has been featured in the Fort Worth Weekly, WFAA News, and twice in Which? magazine (the United Kingdom’s version of Consumer Guide). Dr. Gemoules has taught ophthalmologists in Spain and consulted internationally. He has lectured several times at the Contact Lens and Eyecare Symposium, the annual meeting of the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists, an international educational association for refractive eye care. He is also published in the peer-reviewed scientific literature.
